pyro-punk:

[Today after a mental break lasting roughly three hours]

It’s time we talk about mental heath in the punk community. We need to start having more open and supportive dialog not because we will “fix” each other, but because we are supposed to be a community and at best when it comes to mental heath we are disjointed. We need to remeber that supporting other punks in the community is not only unifying, but often self healing. I know we cannot “cure” or “fix” each other. But we can always remind each other we are not alone in the fight and that is what punk is.

IIAAT to slow down when you’re overwhelmed or burnt out? I’ve been dealing with burnout and its taking me way longer to do things like: read, make food, get dressed, pack my bag, think of what I’m about to say, and process information.

autism-asks:

Yes, burnout tends to make any difficulties we have become more pronounced. An increase in difficulties with executive dysfunction, self-care, verbal speech and processing (language and otherwise) in the way you describe is very common.
