2016: Killer clowns lurking in the forest, with people forming clown hunting parties.

2017: “Give your pet clown only the finest of seltzer so it can have a luscious, healthy coat.”

I mean this is literally how people domesticated dogs, so

So… now we’re domesticating clowns???

hmm i think in general its prolly a good idea, if you have friends or family who have memory problems, to ask if we wanna be told when we’re repeating something? bcos i think a lot of ppl instinctively say ‘you already told me this story’ and i can see why but tbh sometimes its p embarrassing and personally it makes me feel like theyre getting frustrated w/ me (even if i kno rationally thats prolly not the case) so yeah idk ask them how they want u 2 to respond in my onion

it always helps me feel less embarrassed (and less like they’re annoyed by me) if they point it out in a way that continues & encourages the conversation rather than just shutting it down

like:
“and my boss wanted me to visit this person…”
“you already told me this”
“Oh, sorry”

is different from:
“and my boss wanted me to visit this person…”
“Oh I remember you telling me this, you had to see them and then when you got there they gave you this thing, right? that’s so cool, have you decided what you’re gonna do with it?”
“Yeah! I was thinking that I could…”

yes me too!! thank u for adding this cos i *drumroll* completely forgot to lmao like this is one of the best ways to respond imo, i’ve also heard (in response to me asking if i’ve said something already) ‘you have, but i’d like to hear it again’ but what i like about your example is that it doesn’t call attention to the fact that you forgot, and (for me personally anyway) that’s a big thing

What to do if you suddenly find yourself homeless

FOOD

  • Find your nearest food bank or mission, for food
  • grocery stores with free samples, bakeries + stores with day-old bread
  • different fast food outlets have cheaper food and will generally let you hang out for a while.
  • some dollar stores carry food like cans of beans or fruit

SHELTER

  • Sleeping at beaches during the day is a good way to avoid suspicion and harassment
  • sleep with your bag strapped to you, so someone can’t steal it
  • Some churches offer short term residence
  • Find your nearest homeless shelter
  • Look for places that are open to the public
  • A large dumpster near a wall can often be moved so that flipping up the lids creates an angled shelter to stay dry

  • Local beaches, go for a quick swim

i-want-more-fish:

Tw for the rant ahead: depression, animal abuse, Wal-Mart
We were at Wal-Mart just to grab some paper towels but they’re by the fish so we went to look at them. Overstocked tanks, ammonia filled water, dead fish in most of them, fish starving so much they were eating the dead ones, deformities, betta water so murky you could barely see the fish.
Two betta cups were so bad that I took it upon myself to do a full water change right there at their little sink.
Camille (my wife) and i both went to customer service and filed formal complaints about the mistreatment of the animals.
I dont care who the fuck you are. I dont care what type of pet you have. Do your fucking research, and do your utmost to make that pet as healthy and happy as possible.
Or don’t have animals. Period.
I dont care if your betta/goldish/etc was ‘just fine in a bowl. They live longer, look healthier and are actually happier in the right size aquariums.

For the record, i know I didn’t save those betta fish. All i did was make it a little easier to breath for a little bit.
