I’m here for the kids who got bullied through school.

For the kids who tried to do what adults told them to do – to ignore it, to tell an adult, to ask them to stop.

I’m here for the kids whose bullies redoubled efforts when they tried to ignore them.

I’m here for the kids who were ignored or downplayed by adults because they asked “well what are they doing/saying” but you couldn’t quantify it because it was subtle or “kids being kids”. Like the fake date ask, or just being followed around campus, or malicious “gifts” that outside viewers wouldn’t understand are meant to hurt you. But you know they’re meant to hurt you.

I’m here for the kids who asked bullies “please leave me alone” but their harrassers only got more vicious and mocked your pleas.

I’m here for the kids who begged their guardians every day to not go to school. Who were actually sick from the anxiety and the stress and faked being sick just to save a day of torture.

I’m here for the kids who held on for the grueling years hoping it gets better. The ones that lay in their bed sobbing, feeling their own heart beat while staring at the ceiling praying “God, make the pain stop”

Who tried to make the pain stop.

And the ones who did.
